Serie N° 83: El Habeas data y la ley de protección de datos en Chile.

Abstract

This paper is a brief overview of the data protection in Latin America through the Institute of Habeas data, and describes the situation of Chilean law, with its current shortcomings, which needs urgent reforms, in order to international standards related to this kind of rights and the "data protection system" offered by our legislation, not enough efforts being partial to this day.
