dc.description.abstractThe article analyses phenomena related to infodemic and misinformation in the context of the current health crisis. In addition, the article raises awareness of the risks caused by post-truth and fake news in the healthcare area and the constant loss of value that science has experienced in our society due to these ills. The article considers librarians as indispensable professionals to counteract the perils raised by misinformation in our current society and deems information literacy programmes as ideal tools for teaching and developing critical thinking. At the same time, the article emphasises the significance of interdisciplinary work in order to achieve the goals proposed in it.es
