dc.description.abstractThe objective of this work is to describe a teaching experience in the subject of Information Resources and Services in Science and Technology. This subject is part of the education program in Librarianship and Documentation provided at the Metropolitan Technological University, on the basis of the Service-Learning methodology (A + S). Through the application of this pedagogical strategy, students use their specific knowledge, related to the search and retrieval of information focused on solving the information needs of researchers in the area of science, specifically, in the areas of chemistry and health. The narration of the experience that has meant using the Service-Learning methodology in librarianship, aims to serve as an example to those who practice teaching in this discipline, showing that learning of the curricular contents of the career can be generated, through a practical strategy real and at the same time, with social contribution.es
