Serie N° 108: Estudio de empleabilidad y remuneraciones de los bibliotecarios en Chile.

Abstract

The following article presents the results of the employability and salaries study of librarians in Chile, carried out at the request of the School of Library Science of the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana. The data collection was carried out during the month of December 2018, through an electronic survey platform. This work is a first step towards the collection of information in relation to the national librarianship reality, with respect to the range of remunerations perceived by professionals, according to the study house in which the degree was pursued, job position and the postgraduate studies. Also, it was covered issues relating to job stability, gender, years of experience, professional satisfaction, among others.
